Meet Carl

Experienced Fraud Prevention Leader

With nearly 20 years of experience in fraud prevention, Carl brings extensive expertise and strong leadership to his role as Executive Director of BSA, Fraud, and Compliance. In this position, he oversees the bank’s efforts to detect and prevent fraud, ensure compliance with evolving regulations, and manage operational and regulatory risk. Carl is passionate about protecting clients and the community while working diligently behind the scenes to prevent financial crimes and keep our clients’ money safe. Known for his calm demeanor and collaborative approach, Carl enjoys working closely with his team and believes in explaining the “why” behind every process. He sees each complex situation as an opportunity to develop strategies that strengthen the bank’s defenses. Outside of work, Carl and his wife, Catherine, have been married for over a decade and love cheering on their son at the baseball field. He also enjoys traveling and hopes to visit all 50 states, saving Hawaii for his 50th birthday. When at home, Carl can often be found in his garden tending to his beloved peach tree and other plants.
